TCCW Participation in Do More 24. One Day. Our Community.
On June 8, 2017, United Way of the National Capital Area will be hosting Do More 24. Last year, Do More 24 donors contributed $1.1 million in 24 hours. The City Choir of Washington’s (TCCW) specific goal this year is to raise $20,000 or more in 24 hours.
These funds will enable us to produce another spectacular season of choral music: a November concert of Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Bruckner’s Mass in F Minor; The Holly and the Ivy, Music for Christmas in December; and our spring concert (April) will be Handel’s Laudate Pueri Dominum, Charpentier’s Te Deum, and the world premiere of Brian Bartoldus’ Magnificat.
In addition, these funds will ensure that our outreach chorus, the City Singers, can continue to bring music to those unable to attend our concerts, such as wounded American soldiers at Walter Reed, hospitalized children at NIH, and those residing in senior centers and homeless shelters throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
